The A2 Remote Sensing System is a flexible adaptive radio networking system that seamlessly integrates analog and digital sensors. With a range of up to 3 miles, the system is self installing and self configuring. All the installer has to do is set the check-in frequency using a simple rotary switch, record the radio address, and connect the sensor. This system compares very favorably, from a cost perspective, with installed conduit at distances of 100 feet or more.
The Gateway is a rugged, 2-way interface connecting assest managers to a remote mesh network of assest and uses the industry statndard Modbus protocol. With minimal set up required, each node has a unique Modbus slave ID and connects via standard RS-485 serial line or ethernet. The system can send data to a remote digital node to write a modbus register/coil or transmit a command to a device.
The DIN Gateway is housed in a narrow module. An RP SMA connector is provided to connect to an external antenna and configuration is done via the RS232 DB9 connector. Modbus RTU and TCP are used for remote asset data monitoring and control. The Gateway contains an ARM processor capable of holding remote data registers as well as providing control of remote assets.
The Gateway-in-a-Stick system is contained in a high impact polycarbonate “stick” attached to an aluminum base. Encapsulated electronics in the base of the Stick with integral high-gain antenna does not require a coax. The base has 3/4″ NPT conduit threads, making mounting simple. The interface cable containes lines for the Modbus data interface as well as power and configuration. The Gateway contains an ARM processor capable of holding remote data registers as welll as providing control of remote assests.
The SignalFire Ranger is an IoT (internet of things) cellular transmitter using the latest LTE CAT M1 technology for sensors and fully integrated with SignalFire’s cloud monitoring and alarming services. The Ranger has two (2) digital inputs, one (1) analog input and one (1) relay output. The digital inputs can detect on/off status or frequencies up to 2kHz. The analog input can be set to 1-5Vdc or 4-20mA and powered by the built-in battery pack. The relay output is a single pole double throw capable of loads up to 2A @ 30Vdc. 0.3A @110Vac or 0.5A @ 125Vac
The SignalFire Pressure Ranger is an IoT (internet of things) cellular pressure transmitter using the latest LTE CAT M1 technology for sensors and fully integrated with SignalFire’s cloud monitoring and alarming services. The Pressure Ranger includes an integrated pressure sensor and features a built-in GPS receiver that reports location of devices to the cloud, providing a map of all connected assets. The unit is powered by a 4 D Cell Lithium battery pack that is field replaceable.
The Pressure Scout consists of a pressure sensor integrated with a wireless node and internal battery. It is a low-cost alternative to conduit-wired or other wireless pressure monitoring solutions. Ideal applications for the Pressure Scout include well tubing and casing pressure monitoring, tank level monitoring and compressor station status monitoring.
The Tilt Scout is a wireless solid-state inclinometer that measures an angle from horizontal with two modes: Hatch detection and Pump Jack detection. The Hatch detection mode enables monitoring of the opening condition (closed, cracked open, opened) of a hatch for environmental and safety concerns. The Pump Jack detection mode detects and reports if it is operating or moving. The Tilt Scout can also be applied to a variety of other applications where there’s a need to detect an angle from horizontal.
The Sentinel wireless node connects to sensors and creates a wireless link between the sensor and a Gateway. The Sentinel wireless node is instrinsically safe (Class 1, Division 1) and can interface to sensors via a variety of interfaces – Analog (4-20mA/1-5V), Modbus, HART, and Digital Input. The Sentinel has a range of 1/2 mile and is part of the SignalFire mesh network bring wireless connectivity to the oil field.
