The CMSS 785 system is an eddy current type non-contact displacement/vibration system, used for measuring Shaft Vibration, Axial Position, Rotating Speed and Phase from small rotating machinery to large critical machinery in Hazardous and non-Hazardous environments. The CMSS 785 can be used in conjunction with the SKF On-line systems (IMx).
The CMSS 420 series are solid state, loop-powered vibration transmitters. They provide a 4 to 20 mA, output that is proportional to overall vibration in terms of velocity. The series of CMSS 420 continuously monitor machinery health and transmit directly into a PLC or DCS for trending, alarm and machine shutdown. In addition, the CMSS 420VT provides access to the dynamic transducer output. The buffered output is available for temporary connection of portable analyzers for detailed machine fault analysis.
The CMSS 500 Series of Machine Condition Transmitters (MCT) are 4-20 mA transmitters. They convert part of the input signal to a 4-20 mA output proportional to the overall measurement and can be directly interfaced to an existing process control system (PLC or DCS). Combining transmitters with a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a distributed control system (DCS) result in a hight density, low cost vibration monitoring system.
